Artist Nina Brandin Jones was raised in historic Lexington, Massachusetts and summered on Cape Cod. She now lives and works in Broomfield, Colorado near Boulder and Denver. Nina’s jewelry is simply wearable with designs in silver and gold in varying karats; her designs are inspired by organic shapes and natural textures, gemstones and classically simple Swedish design. "Making jewelry has always been a part of my life. It's been a hobby, passion, distraction, obsession, and career. I enjoy transforming metal into enduring, beautiful pieces that are sentimental, personal, and meaningful that will be passed on for generations." - Nina. After many classes learning the basics of making silver and gold jewelry early in her teen years and throughout High School, Nina pursued an intensive course of study at The North Bennett Street School in Boston's historic North End. There she focused on metalsmithing for 16 months, eight hours a day of technical training covering metal forming techniques, faceted and cabochon stone setting and finishing. The Jewelry Making program emphasizes craftsmanship, teaching students how to create fine jewelry with excellence in all details. Nina’s custom work features personalized designs, engagement rings and wedding sets as well as rejuvenations of customers’ current jewelry. Nina offers private lessons for adults and children in her studio in Broomfield, Colorado. Nina’s Collection is found in galleries, boutiques and at art shows as well as online.
